A timely filed I-539 Extension of Stay application will automatically extend current on-campus employment for up to 240 days while the application is pending.
An I-539 can be filed with USCIS up to 6 months before the expiration of stay or within the 30 day grace period. We recommend you apply as soon as you are eligible 6 months before.
Delaying filing your application could lead to a lapse in employment authorization.
