- Degree Level: Ensure the degree level on your form I-20 or DS-2019 aligns with your degree plans for the Fall 2026 semester.
- CIP Code: Ensure your CIP code is aligned with your major as listed on this UC Merced CIP Code list.
- Check the program end date listed on your most recently issued I-20/DS-2019 form. If you know that you will require additional time to complete your degree program requirements or program objectives, move forward with connecting with your department and complete a program extension request as soon as possible. (Only submit a program extension request if you are eligible)
